After many years of talking about visiting the Ford family in Atlanta, we thought that now would be a good time. They just rebuilt their home, and the Red Sox just happened to be playing the Atlanta Braves, so we decided to hop on a plane and head on down south! Julian's first flight was pretty uneventful, and he made everyone around us laugh when we had some turbulence. He thought it was a ride and laughed really loud. We were so happy to see their daughter Evelyn, who we haven't seen since she was one. She was such a good friend to Julian, and they couldn't get enough of each other. She is going to be such a good big sister in the fall. We had a great time visiting the city of Atlanta. We visited the Varsity for hot dogs, went to the Flying Biscuit for biscuits and gravy, went to 2 Atlanta vs. Red Sox games, visited some playgrounds and went to the hangar that Richard flies out of. We packed the days in with fun activities.
It was wonderful catching up with our old friends.
